US gold, silver miner posts record production

U.S. gold and silver miner Hecla Mining has re-ported record silver production for 2019, at 12.6 million oz, up 22% com-pared with 2018. Last year, the company also posted record annual gold production, at 272,783 oz, an increase of 4% year-on-year, according to a statement.

Hecla Mining says it runs silver mines in Alaska and Idaho in the U.S., and Mexico’s San Sebastian, and its operating gold mines are located in Canada’s Quebec and Casa Berardi, as well as and Nevada in the U.S.
