Sweden’s Hexagon has announced its mining division was awarded a multi-solution project at Toka Tindung gold mine in Indonesia.

“The phased deployment will see Hexagon systems for fleet manage-ment, operator alertness, blast monitoring and enterprise analytics imple-mented by the company’s Indonesian staff at the mine between now and October 2021,” the company said in a statement.

Located in Indonesia’s North Sulawesi region, Toka Tindung is a small open pit gold mine.

“Toka Tindung is operated by subsidiaries of PT Archi Indonesia, one of the largest gold producers in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. The company has produced more than eight tons of gold per year for the past three years,” the statement said. “Toka Tindung began commercial develop-ment in April 2011 and is in the process of expanding to increase capac-ity.”

Hexagon Mining says it has about 21,000 employees in 50 countries, and net annual sales of some US$ 4.6 billion, according to data from the busi-ness.
