Output to rise Russias leading diamond miner Alrosa has announced it sold about $2.497 billion worth of output in the first half of 2017.

 In the first three months of this year, the companys diamond production totalled 8.9 million carats. Alrosa is aiming to raise its annual production for 2017 by 6% to a total of 39.2 million carats.

 “We consider the existing rough diamond market environment to be stable, though we saw a seasonal slowdown by the end of June,said Yury Okoemov, the vice president of Alrosa.
