Australian Auric Mining has commenced mining operations at the Munda gold mine starter pit near Widgiemooltha in Western Australia.
A Starter Pit is targeted to produce 6,100 ounces of gold from 125,000t mined. The ore will be stockpiled on a ROM Pad at the mine site in preparation for toll milling. Meanwhile, at the beginning of July, a final 60,000 tonne of ore from Jeffreys Find Gold Mine at Norseman will be toll milled at the Three Mile Hill Plant near Coolgardie.
Auric is projected to bank $3 to $4 million from this last campaign for the mine.
The company has secured full funding for the starter pit operations.
The company also has completed site preparation including construction of a new haul road, and a waste dump.
