Leading Italian mining companies have expressed their interest for the development of minerals’ base of Uzbekistan, according to recent statements, made by representatives of Italian business and some Uzbek media reports.
As part of these plans, a particular attention will be paid for the development of copper and phosphate fields of this company.
One of the possible options also involves the production and processing of marble in Uzbekistan using Italian technologies
This is expected to be achieved through the establishment of a joint venture between Uzbek mining companies and Italian investors, with Henraux, one of the Italian leading companies in the field of marble processing, being considered as one of the potential participants in the project.
According to Uzbek news wire Dunyo, president of Henraux Paolo Carli has already expressed his interest in the participation in the project.
