Australia allocates grants to minerals projects

Funds for development The Australian government has approved A$50 million ($34 million) in grants to six critical minerals projects. The latest development is part of efforts by the country to accelerate the development of the sector and allow Australia to reach net zero emission targets by 2050.

 

“The grants will accelerate early and mid-stage projects, driving new investment in our processing and manufacturing capabilities as we develop our critical minerals sector,” Australian Resources Minister Madeleine King said in a statement obtained by news agency Reuters.

 

The companies that are to receive the Australian government’s grants include Alpha HPA Ltd, Cobalt Blue Holdings Ltd, EQ Resources Ltd, Global Advanced Metals Pty Ltd, Lava Blue and Mineral Commodities Ltd, according to the resources minister.
