Positive data International miner Centamin has announced that, in 2023, the company managed to sell some 456,625 oz of gold.

This represented a 4 percent increase compared with the 438,638 oz the miner managed to sell a year earlier, according to a recently released statement on Centamin’s full year 2023 results.

"2023 is the third consecutive year that we have safely delivered on our production guidance, reflecting the operational improvements and flexibility from our three-year reinvestment plan. Despite ongoing local inflationary pressures, we reduced our AISC by $194/oz versus 2022, beating the lower end of our guidance range,” said Martin Horgan, the company’s chief executive. "With the reinvestment programme ending in 2024, [the Egyptian mine] Sukari has been repositioned towards consistently delivering 500,000 ounces per annum over the long-term, with further growth and cost saving opportunities identified."
