South African gold miner eyes higher production

South Africa-based gold miner DRDGold Ltd has announced increased revenues and operating profit for 2018 amid plans to raise its gold production this year.

 

The company "reported a year-on-year increase of 38% in operating profit to R355.2 million. This was the result of a 10% rise in gold pro-duction to 4,679 kg," DRDGold said in a statement.

 

This translated into an operating profit of some $22.4 million for last year.
