Celsius Resources recently provided an update on recent developments at its 95-percent-owned Opuwo cobalt project in Namibia.

Significant down dip extension to mineralisation was confirmed by assay results from DOFD0077: 4 m @ 0.13% Co and 0.40% Cu.

Brendan Borg, managing director at Celsius, commented:

”The confirmation of significant down-dip extension to the cobalt and copper mineralisation at Opuwo has clear implications for the scale of the Project. We are on track to report our maiden Mineral Resource in February, and look forward to reporting a large number of significant drilling results in the lead up to this event.”

The Opuwo Cobalt Project is an advanced exploration project, with intensive surface exploration already undertaken by previous explorers. The Project has the potential for large scale cobalt-copper mineralisation and has excellent infrastructure, according to Celsius.

The Opuwo Cobalt Project is located 800 kilometres from the capital Windhoek and 750 kilometres from the port at Walvis Bay — each connected to the project by bitumen roads.

Celsius Resources is set to commence drilling in early March at the Opuwo Cobalt Project, which has the potential to host large scale, sediment hosted copper-cobalt mineralisation with approximately 30km strike length of prospective mineralized horizon.
